UPDATES:
- Recovering lost forum posts: If you find forum posts missing please note that you should still be able to recover them either from the mailing list archive of the specific project as well as from MarkMail.
- Dec-23-2009: At the time of this post some, but not all, wikis and forums had been brought back up. I am told that now all forums and wikis are fully operational. However, there are still some problems posting to java.net blogs from external blogging clients – this is being worked on.
After the attack last week java.net now has been restored and should be (mostly) functional, including the Java Mobile & Embedded Community. Please note that recently added content may still be missing and needs to be reposted.
Cheers,
– Terrence

I still can’t post to the Project Wonderland forum, and the wiki pages are still inaccessible. If somebody told you this has been fixed, they are misinformed. Just click on the wiki link at left, get:
The Java.net content area is offline for maintenance. Project access is still available via “projectname.dev.java.net”. A listing of java.net projects can be seen here. We will be back online shortly. Thank you for your patience. Thank you, The java.net Team
And at the top of the forums:
“Webmaster Alert: Posting to Jive Forums is currently not working. Estimated time for fix is unknown.”
So, is it Cognisync that’s supposed to be sorting this? It’s not exactly an impressive performance at the moment.

You’re right – not all forums and wikis were up when I posted my blog. There are now (so I am told). Please see the UPDATE section of the blog entry.
And, yes, I agree that this has been taking too long.
Cheers,

The forums are back, minus some lost content. The wikis at the moment are rolled back to where they were quite some time ago.
I’m irked at the scope and duration of the outage. But I’m a lot more than irked at the utter failure to communicate the situation and recovery plans.
Very unprofessional.
