I’ve been busy lately with various preparations for JavaOne. But I managed to find some cycles and write an article on LWUIT 1.3 and some of the new features now available in the open source repository, such as the new UI controls, the HTML component, and more. Code included!
“Rich Applications for Billions of Devices: What’s New in LWUIT?” is now posted on SDN, java.sun.com, and java.net.
Cheers,
– Terrence

Excellent, thanks Terrence.
Is there some news about JavaME there in Oracle?

Davide,
Unfortunately, Oracle has a strict policy – I can only discuss public information, so currently I’ll have to defer an answer.

I understand, really thanks for your reply Terrence,
this is much appreciated.
I always read your blog,
this is an open door on our beloved JavaME tech and I want
to thank you for this.
I’m glad to know that you have not abandoned the boat after the acquisition and I hope that Oracle will invest in the mobile world as much as it worth.
Kind Regards,
Davide.
